For Spring of 2008 will there be any golf leagues near Monroe, New York (zip code is 10950)?
I am 12 but for the spring of 08 I will be 13 i was very good at baseball until i started to play golf but my golf swing hurt my baseball swing wayyy to much and its hard to correct so for spring there a baseball league which i dont wanna do bc i will b bad so im good at golf but i need to kno if there a league near me i can play in

Tips to Make a Correct Golf Swing
Making a correct golf swing all comes down to the right mechanics. Now you may ask, “What do car repairmen have to do with golf?” On the contrary, mechanics are the actions you go through when making your swing. However, before we talk more about mechanics let’s define the various types of golf shots that might be played during the course of a round of golf.
The first shot that you take is the drive. When driving the ball, your goal is to hit it as far as you can, and closest to the center of the fairway (short grass) as possible.
After the drive you will make your second shot which is called your approach shot. You use a wedge for this shot depending on how far away you are from the pin. Your main goal in this shot is to get the ball on the green to give yourself a chance to make a birdie on the hole depending on what par is on the particular hole.
If you are playing on a par five hole, it may be necessary to make a lay-up shot. A lay-up shot is your second shot when you decide you don’t want to try and make it all the way to the green but instead lay-up just shy of the green in order to leave yourself in a better position to make your next shot.
The next shot we will discuss is the chip shot. You use a chip shot when you are not too far off the green and you want to chip the ball slightly into the air and roll it as close to the hole as you can. The fun part about chips is you can sometimes even put them in from pretty far away! You want to have more loft on your club when you chip so you can get the ball up in the air right away.
Sometimes not everything goes as planned and you end up in the sand filled bunker. This is not the end of the world because you can whip out your well practiced bunker shot. The bunker shot is played with a very highly lofted club even more so then the chip. The key to the bunker shot is to hit behind the ball in order to hit the sand before you hit the ball. That is essential when playing a bunker shot.
Last but not least is putting. When on the green the most important thing to consider is to have a smooth follow through with the putter. The main job of the putter is to roll the ball straight and true or sometimes through some very large and winding ridges towards the hole.
