What kind of doctor should i see about a possible skull fracture?
I was hit in the side of my head by a golf club, a driver to be specific, full swing. i was hit right behind my temple about eye level broke my eyeglasses when hit. it was a total accident and the guy was very apologetic. but anyway it has been hurting for about 10 days now the pain has subsided but it is still hard to open my mouth. it has been weird that it has affected my jaw i feel like the hit is higher than anything around my jaw but i guess not. it hurts bad to try and stretch my mouth, say to take a bite of a thick burger or something like that. i have broke many bones in my day and am use to the pain of a fractured bone. i am worried that the side of my head is in fact “broke”. what is the healing process for this injury and what do doctors normally do for something like this? Finally what kind of doctor should i see, if the pain doesn’t go away soon enough?
ER doctor first (and ASAP). He will refer you to a specialist.

The Biggest Change in Effective Golf Instruction
There have not been many changes in golf instruction over the decades, with the possible exception of those technological developments used to break down a golfer’s swing. Even that has not changed much about the way golf instruction itself has approached the gargantuan task of teaching, improving, and perfecting the golf swing.
In fact, one of the most exciting and effective advances in the field of golf instruction is taking place right now, and it will very likely change the game of golf for both amateurs and pros at all levels. What is it that has begun to not only improve performance on the course for people, but has also suddenly provided relief from golf-related aches, pains, and strains?
Consulting With the Medical Experts
You may have heard the old joke about the fellow who went to see his doctor, complaining of pain in his wrist. “Doc, it hurts when I do this,” he said, flexing his wrist to and fro. “OK. Don’t do that… $75 please,” advised the doctor! The sad thing is that many people who love golf have essentially been told that they must give up their favorite game because it causes them pain… but the real answer could have easily been an adjustment to their swing that would free them from the discomfort forever.
The difference stems from consulting with health care professionals who understand the strains that golf puts on the body, and how to avoid them. This group includes physical therapists, chiropractors, kinesiologists, and others who are especially knowledgeable in how the human machine works – and doesn’t work!
Biomechanical Input Makes a Difference
In addition to the health care pros, the input from scientists who specialize in biomechanics is one of the most important elements of this new type of golf training. This is because these scientists specialize in understanding precisely how the body’s joints, muscles, etc., work together to create the golf swing. Historically, that swing has not usually been very biomechanically friendly to most people’s bodies, but this does not have to be the case. Biomechanical knowledge can work in your favor as a golfer, or it can work against you!
The Science Doesn’t Work Without Golf Know-How!
Of course, all of the health and biomechanical input isn’t going to amount to very much unless there is also a healthy dose of professional golf instruction involved making the pieces come together! This is where the Perfect Connection Golf Swing program has a distinct advantage, because it takes these elements and combines them into an unprecedented training system which brings consistency and strength into your swing, improves the game overall, and diminishes the chances of your sustaining injuries from golf. Lower back pain near ribs?
Three days ago i was tackled by a buddy and had the wind knockd out of me. Since this I have had a pain in my lower back on the left side near my rib. I can only feel it when i move around and when im laying on it. Does anyone have any idea what this may be. I have been stuck at work and have not been able to get to the doctors to get an x-ray. Im going on a golf trip next week and I just want to be able to swing a club. Any idea what may be wrong?
had a similar thing happen to me when I fell once. I had a depressed rib ( no corny jokes please, I’ve had them all) anyway I went to my Doctor who sent me for physio therapy and I had exercises to do for months. the pain was awful when I lay on that side of my body, because the rib was pushed inwards. but you do need to see the doctor for this one.
