is it legal to use a towel to help grip the golf club in wet conditions?
when its hot out or rainy my golf clubs slips when i swing, when I grip the club with a towel I have much more control, just didnt know if it was legal or not.
Perhaps you need to change your grips. When I had my clubs regripped, I was asked if I played a lot in the summer and if my got sweaty. My answer was yes to both and the pro recommended a grip for those conditions.

How do I fix or swing with a non-overlapping golf grip?
Ever since I started to play golf, I never went with a “Vardon” or overlapping finger golf grip. Part of it is that my hands are small so I grip the golf club with my two hands separated, but next to each other. It’s more like a baseball grip without the over rotation of the hands to make my swing too strong. Do I just keep using this type of grip and if so, how do I cope with swing inconsistencies or should I get a smaller grip? What else would work? HELP!
Keep your grip except try this: For a right hander, most of the grip pressure from your right hand will come from “pinching” the grip in between your index finger and thumb. This will help keep a consistent grip point and give the effect of a interlock or vardon grip.

I use an interlocking grip with my glove still on to putt, what’s wrong with that?
I play golf with my friend Dave often, we are going all over the nation playing courses. Right now we are in Montana and he’s started complaining about the fact I putt with my full swing grip and my glove still on. So what ?! It works! I seldom three putt and Dave is inferior to me with his “reverse overlap grip” or whatever the hell it is. What’s your opinion ? I think Dave is just a poor loser.

Don’t fix it if its not broken. There are plenty of professional athletes who have unorthodox mechanics in their respective sports, but that didn’t keep them from being the best in their sport. Even though people tried to get all to change their mechanics before becoming a pro (and some even after) that didn’t mean they had to change and they stuck with what worked for them. Do what works for you and don’t listed to anyone else.
