What does it mean to have a “Strong” grip in a Golf Swing?
People tell me I have a strong grip, now tell me what it means and HOW DO I FIX IT?
ok some people have steered you wrong again. a STRONG grip is when a right hander has the hands rotated to the RIGHT side of the grip, with the v’s of your thumb and forefinger pointed towards your RIGHT shoulder. a simple test is to hold up the clubface to where it is square and see how many knuckles you can see on your left hand, if you can see three or more you have a strong grip. conversely a WEAK grip is where you have the hands rotated to the LEFT of the grip. in this case the v’s will point more towards your chin (if they point to your left shoulder you are really weak and there is something seriously wrong with your grip). a strong or weak grip is not neccecarily something that has to be fixed unless you are working with a teacher who tells you it needs to be changed and in this case they can tell you how to do it. many good players have played with both a weak and strong grip. azinger has an especially strong grip, ernie els and jose maria olazabal have particulary weak grips, and these players have all played excellent golf in their careers.

In it you will learn the proper grip, stance, posture and alignments necessary to build a great short game, and the foundation for the full swing as well.
