Help With Golf swing?
My Golf Swing is ok considering i only started last year i am confident with driver woods and irons and can hit a good straight ball with relativley good accuracy, however my short game is killing me. The problem is when i am not using the full of a club e.g just chipping up onto green etc. i am leaving the club face open and the ball is shooting way off to the right. I know what i am doing wrong in that the face is open on impact but am not sure how to fix it, any tips, thanks
Changing your stance could help. Not sure how you are lining up your shot right now, but I’m guessing it is like your full swing stance. One of the ways to become more consistent is to aim (with your feet) left of the target (if you are right handed) while aiming your club face straight at where you want the ball to go. I usually aim about 5 yards left of the target but experiment on how open you want your stance. Another good thing to remember for shorter chips, keep your hands pressed forward throughout the swing (much like a putting stroke).
